Our group, Ann Arbor Beyond Bernie, came together during the Bernie 2020 presidential primary campaign. Some of us have known each other for many years, while others met during the campaign. Our members range from young people to those of us who remember the 1960s. We are focused on social change based on the issues raised during the Bernie campaign in 2016 and 2020. Now the #BlackLivesMatter movement has ignited an uprising around the world, with intersectionality widely apparent among the progressive issues for which we have been fighting. As Bernie said: “Not me, Us.” We are just getting started!
